The Broadway Melody

Sisters Harriet and Queenie Mahoney are a vaudeville duo who arrive on Broadway at the request of their friend Eddie Kerns, who requires their talents for a number in one of Francis Zanfield’s productions. Although Eddie once held romantic feelings for Harriet, his affections shift to Queenie upon meeting her. However, Queenie finds herself pursued by the high-society figure Jock Warriner. In due course, she realizes Jock views her merely as a fleeting amusement, and Harriet gradually becomes aware of Eddie’s true feelings for Queenie.
