Fawlty Towers

Fawlty Towers is a classic British sitcom from BBC Television that aired in 1975 and 1979, consisting of twelve episodes. The show, crafted by John Cleese and his then-wife Connie Booth, features both as lead cast members. Set in a fictional hotel in the charming town of Torquay on the “English Riviera,” the series follows the misadventures of Basil Fawlty, an uptight and often abrasive hotel owner. He is constantly at odds with his domineering wife Sybil, while navigating the chaos caused by their dull-witted Spanish waiter Manuel and the relatively level-headed chambermaid Polly. The comedic chaos is heightened by a stream of demanding and quirky guests attending the hotel. Celebrated by professionals, Fawlty Towers was crowned the best British TV series ever by the British Film Institute in 2000. Fawlty Towers (1975) is a comedic treasure you can stream online now.
