Rod and Katherine Wright, a retired couple living in Florida, find that life isn’t as fulfilling as they expected. While Rod struggles with boredom, Katherine longs for her children back home, especially with Christmas approaching. Their spirits are lifted by their friendly neighbor Lisa, who shares their love for golden retrievers, as Rod and Katherine’s dog Jake happily plays with Lisa’s trio of puppies, Mario, Luigi, and Pasquale. However, a surprise twist occurs when the furry friends disrupt a wedding proposal, revealing Lisa’s old flame, David, as the one proposing. Although everyone around them sees the spark between Lisa and David, the two are unaware of it themselves. With the wedding drawing near, they face the decision of rekindling their romance. Will Rod, Katherine, and the playful pups assist in reuniting them this Christmas?
