Call Me Lucky

“Call Me Lucky” presents an uplifting, victorious, and hilariously crafted depiction of one of the comedy industry’s most intriguing and essential personalities, Barry Crimmins. Known for his beer-drinking habits, political boldness, and sharp wit, Crimmins played a pivotal role in the 1970s and 1980s by nurturing the skills of emerging standup comedians. Behind his rough exterior and rugged, hard-drinking image, however, lies a deeply rooted anger resulting from the horrific abuse he suffered during childhood. This suppressed rage eventually transcended the boundaries of comedy clubs and television screens, making its impactful presence felt within the political sphere. “Call Me Lucky” is a must-watch movie.
