Once I Was a Beehive

Lane Speer, a 16-year-old girl, has been used to spending family holidays camping in the mountains, cherishing these moments only in retrospect after her father sadly passes away from cancer. Just a year later, Lane is still grappling with her loss when her mother remarries a man she’s barely acquainted with, who also happens to be a Mormon. As her mother jets off on a honeymoon, Lane finds herself in the care of her Mormon step-aunt, who whisks her off to a Bible-themed girls’ camp filled with young Mormon girls.
