Funny Birds

Charlie returns from boarding school to care for her ill mother, Laura, who runs a small organic egg farm in the New Jersey countryside. Managing the farm while keeping up with school is no easy feat. Their routine, already strained by years of hidden tensions, is disrupted when Laura’s mother, Solange, arrives without notice! Solange is an unusual French feminist who left the U.S. many years ago and has had little contact with her daughter since. Her daughter’s sudden illness inspires her to reconnect. But can these three vastly different women find harmony in their shared life? To tackle an unexpected bird flu outbreak threatening the farm, they must set aside their conflicts. Love and laughter hold the key to mending old wounds and embracing their differences.
