Anguish

In a tranquil town, Tess, a newcomer, tries to cope with her psychotic episodes while adjusting to life with her mother. She discovers a memorial for Lucy, a victim of a hit and run, and soon becomes haunted by visions of the deceased girl, prompting her to once again question her mental state. As Lucy’s spirit takes over Tess’s mind and soul, both mother and daughter are left unsure of whether to turn to religion or medicine for salvation. Despite past disappointments with these avenues, their journey leads them to Sarah, Lucy’s grieving mother. With time running out, Sarah clings to the hope that Lucy exists within Tess, even as neither wants to let go of their daughter. Now that Tess comprehends her situation, she faces the ultimate choice between resisting or surrendering to her condition. Watch Anguish (2015) here.
