In the secluded facility known as Aquatica, once a submarine refueling base, a group of researchers is determined to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Leading the experiment, Dr. Susan McAlester conducts genetic modifications on three Mako sharks, aiming to enhance their brain size for harvesting tissue to combat Alzheimer’s. However, the unintended consequence of this procedure is that the sharks become more intelligent, swift, and perilous.
