The Battery

Set in the rural landscapes of Connecticut, “The Battery” (2012) features the odyssey of two baseball players, Ben and Mickey, struggling to navigate the threats of a zombie apocalypse. The duo forms a unique alliance: resembling a baseball battery, they function as a pitcher and catcher duo united against their latest adversary, zombies. Rugged Ben and more mild-mannered Mickey often clash over survival tactics. However, a human voice breaking the silence through their walkie-talkies brings tension and hope—could this signal be salvation as Mickey hopes, or is Ben’s lingering doubt warranted?
