Summer in February

Set in the early 20th Century, “Summer in February” shines a light on the vibrant and unconventional Lamorna Group from the Newlyn School of artists. The film delves into the tumultuous love triangle between the fiery anti-Modernist painter Alfred Munnings, the aspiring artist Florence Carter-Wood, and Gilbert Evans, the steward of the Lamorna Valley estate. Against the breathtaking backdrop of the Cornish coast, this true story is both poignant and compelling, unfolding as the ominous clouds of The Great War loom nearby.
