Theodore Roosevelt seems destined for an extraordinary future. As a Harvard graduate hailing from a distinguished family and a rapidly ascending politician, his path looks promising, especially with his wife, Alice, expecting their first child. However, his world is turned upside down when tragedy strikes as his mother dies of typhoid and Alice passes during childbirth on the same day. Overcome with grief, Teddy abandons his life amidst the towering buildings and elite society, seeking solace and transformation in the rugged Dakota Territory. In confronting the brutal conditions of the American frontier, he embarks on a journey of self-reinvention. “Elkhorn (2024)” is available to stream right here.
