Eiffel, la guerre des tours

The remarkable saga behind the world-famous Eiffel Tower unveils a monumental struggle to construct a towering thousand-foot structure, transcending mere design competition and marking a pivotal shift in engineering history. This was the dawn of a dramatic evolution, where iron clashed with stone, engineering contended with architecture, and contemporary design stood against the traditional. Watch the fierce conflict unfold through lobbying, press campaigns, public conferences, and the relentless denigration of rival projects, as all involved boasted of their prominent affiliations. Employing 3D reconstructions, official documents, and personal archives from descendants, “Eiffel, la guerre des tours (2023)” vividly captures this vertical contest to honor the centenary of Eiffel’s passing.
