Ordeal in the Arctic

Military flight Boxtop 22, en route from Thule across the vast, frosty expanse of Canada’s North Western territories, was expected to be an uneventful journey. However, a sudden crash plunges Gulf War veteran pilot Captain John Couch, his crew, and passengers into growing despair. Initially feeling somewhat fortunate that 14 out of 18 are alive, including Captain Wilma De Groot, a medical doctor, the survivors soon face the relentless cold, which makes it seem increasingly futile to tend to the injured Bob and Sue, who remain stranded away from the campfire. Rescue attempts from nearby Alert and distant Edmonton take a taxing 32 hours to arrive at the crash site, compounding their ordeal.
