After serving a year in solitary confinement, Nick Davis embarks on a new chapter by taking a job as a forklift operator in a dockside warehouse run by the venerable Japanese Yakuza leader, Isshin Tendo. In the midst of chaos, Nick heroically saves Shuji Sawamoto, the Yakuza’s representative on American soil. Grateful for his efforts, Shuji invites Nick into the Yakuza fold, even standing as his godfather. However, unbeknownst to them, Nick is actually an undercover FBI agent tasked with infiltrating the criminal organization. When the FBI learns of Campanela’s large-scale plan to obliterate the Yakuza, they decide to step back and allow the Mafia to take over.
