Eva Doesn’t Sleep

This tale begins with a fascinating truth: in 1952, Eva Perón, the cherished First Lady of Argentina, succumbed to cancer at just thirty-three. In his grief, Juan Perón enlisted a famed embalmer to preserve her remains for public viewing, drawing countless Argentine admirers to pay their respects to “Evita.” However, when a military coup ousted Perón three years later, he escaped before arranging for his late wife’s body’s relocation. Fearing Eva’s enduring influence, the new ruling regime abducted her embalmed body and suppressed her memory by outlawing her name’s mention. Thus commenced a twenty-year odyssey of Eva’s body, traversing across Europe before finally returning to Argentina. Watch Eva Doesn’t Sleep (2015) online.
