Love Stinks

“Love Stinks (1999) takes a humorous yet chaotic look at a relationship more turbulent than yours. Seth, a writer and producer for sitcoms, encounters Chelsea, an interior designer, during his best friend’s wedding; he’s drawn to her immediately, while she finds his bachelor status appealing. They quickly drop their dates and embark on their own romantic evening. Their relationship blossoms, seemingly joyful, until the matter of marriage disrupts the peace after several years. When Chelsea realizes Seth’s preference for an unmarital partnership, she becomes resentful. The ensuing battle of wills between them makes the War of the Roses appear benign in comparison.
