GI Jews: Jewish Americans in World War II

“GI Jews: Jewish Americans in World War II” narrates the compelling journey of 550,000 Jewish American men and women who bravely served in World War II. Through personal accounts from both renowned and lesser-known veterans, including figures like Hollywood director Mel Brooks and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, the documentary vividly brings their wartime experiences to life. These veterans narrate how they battled for their country and community while confronting anti-Semitism within their ranks, ultimately becoming more profoundly American and more deeply Jewish.
