12 Angry Men

In a gripping courtroom drama, a solitary juror defies the collective guilty verdict delivered by his peers, challenging their biases and assumptions in the case of a man accused of patricide. This film, adapted by Reginald Rose, draws from his original 1957 version directed by Sidney Lumet and an earlier Westinghouse One TV production. Notably, George C. Scott received a Golden Globe for his supporting role, while Jack Lemmon, portraying the principled juror, was not similarly honored; however, Ving Rhames (who won for Don King) graciously dedicated his award to Lemmon.
