14 Blades

From a young age, the Jinyiwei were trained in covert warfare, becoming masters of the formidable 14 Blades: eight designated for torture, five for execution, and the final blade intended for self-destruction in case of mission failure. This elite cadre of covert operatives was solely devoted to serving the Emperor with their deadly skills. As the Imperial Court falls into the clutches of the malevolent eunuch, Jia (Law Kar Ying), the finest of the Jinyiwei, Qinglong (Donnie Yen), receives a task to procure a list of the Emperor’s remaining loyalists. Unbeknownst to Qinglong, the Jinyiwei have become pawns of Jia, and during this perilous mission, Qinglong is double-crossed, barely escaping death. Now branded as the most sought-after fugitive, Qinglong must find and unite the loyalists to launch a revolt against Jia and reinstate the rightful authority of the Emperor. Standing in his path are the nation’s most lethal assassins, his own former comrades, the Jinyiwei. Stream 14 Blades (2010) here for free.
