15 Minutes

In the film “15 Minutes” (2001), Eastern European criminals Oleg and Emil arrive in New York City with the intention of collecting their share from a previous heist. Unexpectedly, Oleg swipes a video camera and begins to document their life’s twisted blend of legality and crime. When they discover how the American media can sensationalize a killer into a sympathetic figure, turning it into a lucrative opportunity, they set their sights on NYPD Homicide Detective Eddie Flemming and the less media-savvy FDNY Fire Marshal Jordy Warsaw. These two law enforcers find themselves at the center of a dangerous game as they probe the murder and arson of the criminals’ former partner. The relentless pair captures all their exploits on film, planning to sell the footage to the sensationalist tabloid TV show “Top Story.” Watch “15 Minutes” online here.
