3-D Rarities

The collection includes Kelley’s Plasticon Pictures, which is the oldest known 3-D demonstration film from 1922, showcasing stunning scenes of Washington and New York City. Another highlight is *New Dimensions*, the pioneering full-color 3-D film presented at the 1940 World’s Fair. *Thrills for You* serves as an engaging promotional piece for the Pennsylvania Railroad, while *Stardust in Your Eyes* delivers a comedic standup routine by Slick Slavin. The trailer for *The Maze* features remarkable set design by William Cameron Menzies, and *Doom Town* emerges as a noteworthy anti-nuclear testing film that was mysteriously withdrawn from distribution. The collection also includes the widescreen puppet cartoon *The Adventures of Sam Space*, the burlesque comedy *I’ll Sell My Shirt*, unseen in 3-D for more than six decades, and *Boo Moon*, an outstanding example of color stereoscopic animation, among other gems.
