A Long Way Off

Jacob grows weary of life on his family’s farm, constrained by his father’s rules. Eventually, he asks for his inheritance early, and to his surprise, his father obliges him. With newfound wealth, he ventures into the city, embracing a lifestyle of indulgence and success, making risky business moves that increase his fortune. Despite his extravagant way of living, he attracts the wrong crowd, including the alluring Laura, whose wealthy boyfriend, Frank, poses a constant threat. Jacob once had it all—money, women, and status—but loses everything, finding himself at rock bottom, scavenging through dumpsters and living in a pigpen. After hitting an all-time low, he decides to return home, ready to start fresh in a basic position on his family farm. His father’s reaction is unexpected, but whether it’s for reconciliation or retribution remains uncertain.
