Abel’s Field

Seth McArdle, played by Samuel Davis, is a high school senior juggling a heavy load. In addition to the typical academic and social challenges of high school life, he also assumes parental responsibilities for his young twin sisters due to his late mother and absent father. The pressure escalates when he receives a foreclosure notice from the bank, leading to tensions that result in various conflicts with the football team. In response, a frustrated coach assigns Seth to work after school with Abel, the quirky groundskeeper portrayed by Kevin Sorbo. Initially, their relationship is tense and uneasy, but as they spend more time together, they discover unexpected similarities, although much of their shared experiences revolve around struggle and sorrow.
