After Fall, Winter

WINTER is an intense, seductive, and at times darkly humorous tale about two individuals yearning for closeness while leading lives marked by solitude and emotional turmoil, which ultimately seals the fate of their profound love. The story begins with Michael, a writer in his mid-forties, grappling with suicidal thoughts as his once-thriving career hits a downward spiral. Seeking to reignite his passion for writing and life, he leaves New York for Paris. Michael also harbors a fascination for S and M. Shortly after his arrival, he encounters Sophie, an alluring, intelligent, and empathetic nurse dedicated to aiding the terminally ill in their final journey. Michael and Sophie have an immediate, albeit contentious, connection. However, Sophie harbors a secret; she is also a dominatrix. Throughout the film, she cares for a little girl named Anais, who is battling leukemia. Watch After Fall, Winter (2012) now!
