After Louise

Kath, a reserved young woman, finds an unexpected friend in Bob, the solitary gardener at the seaside hotel where her wedding is set to take place. Unresolved feelings linger from when her mother left when she was just eight, a topic her domineering father, Ken, has never addressed. Desperate for an escape, Kath plans to marry, only to find that her fiancé, Steve, is also under Ken’s control. Meanwhile, Bob, a tender yet peculiar man with a sharp wit, has a shadowy past, having spent years in prison. Since working at the hotel, he has never left the gardens, devotedly caring for them. However, when an aspect of Kath’s presence reminds him of a past relationship with a girl named Louise, he’s propelled to step outside his comfort zone and confront his history.
