Air Bud

A young boy named Josh discovers an unexpected friend in a stray dog with an astonishing talent for basketball. After his father’s unfortunate passing, 12-year-old Josh Framm relocates with his family to Fernfield, Washington, hoping for a fresh start. Initially friendless and too timid to join the school basketball team, Josh finds solace in practicing alone on a neglected court where he meets Buddy, a runaway golden retriever. To his amazement, Josh realizes that Buddy shares his passion for basketball and has an exceptional skill for the game. Over time, Josh earns a spot on the school team while Buddy becomes the beloved Team Mascot and steals the spotlight during halftimes. The duo’s incredible performances soon catch the eye of the media. However, their bond is threatened when Buddy’s previous owner, the unscrupulous Norm Snively, devises a plan to exploit the dog’s newfound fame.
