All in Good Time

Renowned for his work on *East is East*, Ayub Khan-Din presents another endearing and humorous depiction of familial tensions. *All in Good Time*, adapted from Khan-Din’s well-received play *Rafta, Rafta*, which draws inspiration from Bill Naughton’s 1960s classic, unravels in Bolton where newlyweds Atul and Vina face unexpected challenges during their honeymoon, which inconveniently includes staying with Atul’s parents. The hindrances are further magnified by Atul’s father, Eeshwar, whose obliviousness aims to undermine and embarrass his son at nearly every turn. As time slips by, the couple’s inability to consummate their marriage looms over their future together. A delightful blend of sorrow and comedy, *All in Good Time* showcases exceptional performances from Harish Patel and Meera Syal, who originated these roles on stage.
