Amistad

In 1839, the ship Amistad departs from Cuba bound for America, carrying enslaved individuals. As the journey unfolds, Cinque orchestrates a historic revolt against their captors. The rebels are later imprisoned in Connecticut, sparking intense discussions about their fate. Former slave Theodore Joadson seeks justice for Cinque and his fellow captives, enlisting the services of property lawyer Roger Baldwin. Over time, they gain the support of none other than John Quincy Adams. You can find Amistad (1997) to watch online for free.
