Beasts of the Southern Wild

Hushpuppy, a courageous six-year-old girl, inhabits ‘the Bathtub,’ a southern Delta community at the world’s edge, alongside her father, Wink. Wink’s tough love equips her for a future where he’s not around to shield her. Upon Wink falling ill, the natural order descends into chaos—temperatures soar, and melting ice caps unleash ancient creatures known as aurochs. As the water levels climb, the aurochs march forward, and Wink’s condition worsens, Hushpuppy embarks on a quest to find her long-lost mother.
