Buffalo Soldiers

After countless miles on dusty trails and numerous ferocious battles, these courageous African-American cavalrymen arrive at a scrappy frontier town, where they find themselves forced to walk instead of ride. The townsfolk might not show them respect, but these soldiers are recognized by their Native American adversaries, who honor them. Apache leader Victorio, along with other warriors, bestows upon them the powerful name of “Buffalo Soldiers.” This thrilling story follows their daring pursuit of Victorio, paying homage to the former slaves and African-Americans of the 9th and 10th U.S. Cavalry Regiments. Starring Danny Glover, Mykelti Williamson, Glynn Turman, Carl Lumbly, and Michael Warren, the film explores the unknown chapters of history and unique moral challenges these men encountered.
