California Solo

Lachlan MacAldonich, a self-proclaimed “lazy Scotsman,” once thrived as a guitarist for a hit 1990s rock band. Today, away from the spotlight, Lachlan leads a life of quiet desolation on an organic farm just outside Los Angeles. His nights are spent in drunken haze, retreating to his modest apartment to host a podcast reflecting on the tragic fates of legendary musicians. Following a night of heavy drinking at a local bar, he finds himself arrested for DUI. This incident, along with an old drug-related charge, puts him on the verge of deportation. To fight this looming expulsion, Lachlan must demonstrate that his departure would impose severe hardship on a spouse or relative, compelling him to face past relationships he believed were long forgotten.
