Captain Nulle

Valdis Nulle, an eager young captain at the helm of the fishing vessel ‘Dzintars,’ has his own ideas about how to fish, but the sea imposes its own regulations. The local Kolkhoz authorities bring aboard a motley crew, including former captain Bauze and the reserved alcoholic Juhans, forcing the inexperienced Nulle to navigate these complex dynamics. The situation becomes even more intriguing when the attractive engineer Sabīne joins the crew to test a novel fishing net, creating tension between her and Captain Nulle over production methods.
