Ce qu’il faut pour vivre
Trailer
Overview
In the year 1952, Tivii, an Inuit hunter suffering from tuberculosis, is taken from his northern home to recover in a sanatorium located in Quebec City. Disoriented and isolated from his family, Tivii finds himself in a world completely foreign to him, struggling due to his inability to speak French. His will to live wanes until his nurse, Carole, identifies that his cultural displacement poses a greater threat than his physical ailment. To help him, she arranges for a young orphan named Kaki, who is familiar with both cultures and languages, to join Tivii. Through interactions with Kaki, Tivii revitalizes his cultural pride and energy. He finds renewed hope through a plan to adopt Kaki, intending to integrate him into his family back home.
