ChickLit

ChickLit (2016) is a comedic drama where four friends concoct a plan to save their cherished pub from shutting down by collaboratively writing a “mummy porn” novel, akin to ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,’ which quickly gets picked up by a publisher. However, a challenge arises when the publisher demands the supposed young female author to participate in promotional activities, forcing the friends to enlist an unemployed actress to impersonate the author. This unexpected twist sees the actress rising to stardom as the book is adapted into a film, shifting the power dynamics and leaving the men with the daunting task of anonymously crafting more steamy novels indefinitely.
