Confinement

“Confinement (2020)” intricately weaves a narrative through 500 years of north inner city Dublin history, focusing on areas like Henrietta Street and Grangegorman. Employing a fusion of motion graphics, live footage, and charcoal sketches based on rare pre-1900 photographs from The National Archives, it delves into the evolution of social control, mental institutions, and rehabilitative efforts. The journey is led by the imagined voice of a deceased artist, Tony Rudenko, brought to life by the voice of Aidan Gillen. Stream it for free today on this site.
