Death Note: Light Up the New World

A decade has elapsed since the epic showdown between Kira and L. Once again, Shinigami releases death notes into the human world, leading to widespread chaos. Tsukuru, portrayed by Masahiro Higashide, is part of a specialized task force dedicated to addressing the death note threats, alongside six other investigators, including Matsuda, who previously tackled the Kira case. The death notes incite mass murders across various locations, from Wall Street in the U.S. to Shibuya in Japan. Renowned detective Ryuzaki, played by Sosuke Ikematsu and the true successor of L, delves into these killings and uncovers the presence of six death notes globally. Meanwhile, a computer virus dubbed Kira spreads, delivering a message demanding the surrender of all six death notes. With a looming threat from an individual seeking to revive Kira’s reign, a battle ensues between this person and forces intent on curbing their power grab.
