Dedalus

DEDALUS tells a poignant story through a trio of narratives centered around themes of community, love, and loss. In the heart of rural Iowa, a grocery store cashier watches helplessly as his peers hide a terrible secret of sexual violence against his teenage step-sister, raising the poignant question of whether she will choose to keep the child. Meanwhile, in the chilly streets of New York City, a hustler trades companionship for basic needs, only to find unending yearning for an older gay client, even as a young woman provides him shelter. Across the country, the inevitability of death prompts a father to leave Los Angeles to live with his daughter. You can watch Dedalus (2020) online here.
