Diamonds

In “Diamonds (2024),” a visionary filmmaker reunites with his beloved actresses, those he has both collaborated with professionally and cherished personally, to create a film centered on women. Without revealing much about the project, he studies them closely, drawing inspiration from their presence. As his imagination takes flight, he transports them to a bygone era, where the hum of sewing machines fills a female-driven workspace, and men are relegated to peripheral roles, allowing the narrative of cinema to be explored through the lens of costume design. Amidst the shadows of solitude, fervent desires, intense anxieties, aching absence, and unbreakable ties, the lines between reality and fiction blur, intertwining the lives of the actresses with the characters they portray, while rivalry and camaraderie, the seen and the unseen, coexist harmoniously.
