Diplomacy

On the night of August 24, 1944, the future of Paris is placed in the hands of General von Choltitz, the governor of Grand Paris, as he plans to demolish the city under direct orders from Hitler. As a descendant of a proud lineage of Prussian soldiers, the general has never faltered in carrying out commands. Meanwhile, Swedish consul Raoul Nordling is troubled by these developments as he ascends the private staircase leading to the general’s suite at the Hôtel Meurice.
