Dolphin Boy

In “Dolphin Boy (2012),” a young teenager named Morad from an Arab village in northern Israel withdraws from human interaction after suffering a traumatic assault. As a final option before hospitalizing him in a mental institution, his caring father takes him to Eilat, where dolphins aid in his recovery. Slowly, Morad begins to communicate once again, though he chooses to forget his history and remains distant from his mother, who longs for his return. Captured over four years, the documentary delves into the profound impacts of human violence while highlighting the rejuvenating influences of nature and love.
