Donbass

In the Donbas, a region in Eastern Ukraine, a hybrid war is underway, featuring an overt armed conflict accompanied by widespread killings and robberies committed by separatist gangs. In this complex landscape, terms like peace and love are twisted beyond recognition, representing war and hatred, respectively. The narrative in Donbas follows a sequence of intriguing adventures where the strange meets the dramatic, as closely intertwined as life and death itself. This isn’t merely the story of a single region, nation, or political order; it’s a reflection on a world mired in post-truth and false identities. It touches upon the core of who we are, questioning every aspect of our shared reality. The movie “Donbass (2018)” can be streamed online for free.
