Dororo

The story follows Hyakkimaru, a mysterious “demon hunter” on a journey to reclaim his stolen body parts, specifically 48 of them, which were given to demons by his warlord father in exchange for power. This intriguing process was initiated by a herbalist who discovered him as an infant, reminiscent of “Frankenstein” and “The Island of Dr. Moreau.” With each demon he defeats, Hyakkimaru regains a piece of himself. During an intense confrontation with a colossal spider demon, he catches the attention of Dororo, a spirited female thief. She is both intrigued by his skill with the sword blade protruding from his arm and by the miraculous appearance of a new leg after defeating his foe. Dororo, driven by curiosity and fascination, decides to accompany Hyakkimaru on his adventure after hearing his tale from an old minstrel. This prompts the question: is he merely a man or something more monstrous in nature? Watch Dororo (2007) online.
