Down and Out in Beverly Hills

In “Down and Out in Beverly Hills,” the wealthy Whitemans appear to have it all, yet they are deeply dissatisfied. Dave, a dedicated businessman, is involved in an affair with the housemaid, while his wife Barbara immerses herself in yoga, aerobics, and meditation. Their family life is complicated— their teenage son grapples with questions about his sexuality, and their daughter is battling eating disorders. During a Thanksgiving feast, they encounter Jerry, a destitute street dweller who has lost both his dog and hope, leading him to attempt suicide in the family’s swimming pool. Dave steps in just in time and invites Jerry to stay at their home. This unexpected guest profoundly alters the Whitemans’ domestic lives. Watch “Down and Out in Beverly Hills” streaming.
