At eleven, Joe Norman learns from his dying father that he’s an alien living undercover on Earth, a revelation he wholeheartedly accepts. As he matures, he becomes an ardent fan who works in a comic bookstore. When he meets and falls in love with Maria, a practical woman and fellow sci-fi enthusiast, he strives for a more conventional social life. However, Joe’s newfound normality is disrupted when intergalactic bounty hunters discover him at work, forcing the couple to confront the perilous reality of Joe’s true identity.
