Endorphine

At the age of twelve, Simone is emotionally estranged from the world after witnessing her mother’s tragic death. As a twenty-something solitary multimedia artist, Simone grapples with overwhelming panic attacks while managing her job in an underground parking facility. Meanwhile, as a sixty-year-old physicist, she delivers a lecture about the nature of time. These three versions of Simone exist in a complex meta-universe where timelines intertwine, characters proliferate, and narratives echo and expand. Yet, despite its complex temporal shifts, “Endorphine” is deeply anchored in the emotional experiences of the Simones, offering a poignant exploration of trauma intertwined with scientific inquiry.
