Four Corners

Helmed by Ian Gabriel, “Four Corners” follows a young chess prodigy, just 13 years old, who becomes embroiled in the notorious child-gang scene of Cape Town. Celebrated as the pioneering film to explore the century-old conflict involving South Africa’s infamous Number gangs, the 26 and the 28, it skillfully weaves together Sabela, Tsotsi-taal, and Cape Afrikaans dialects. The film features a unique blend of seasoned actors alongside non-professionals and debut performers drawn from local schools and communities in the Cape Flats. Watch it tonight.
