Girl Power

“Girl Power” is a documentary that explores the journeys of female graffiti artists spread across fifteen cities, ranging from Prague to Moscow, Cape Town to Sydney, Biel to Madrid, Berlin to Toulouse, Barcelona, and extending all the way to New York. In a subculture dominated traditionally by men, many hold the belief that graffiti, especially the illicit type, is not a pursuit for women. However, the rise of female empowerment has become more pronounced in recent years, evident through women’s graffiti exhibitions, publications, and digital platforms. “Girl Power” captures the compelling narratives of women who have carved out space for themselves in the predominantly male graffiti scene.
