In the dystopian world of “Hardware (1990),” Mark 13 is a deadly robot designed by the government, equipped with artificial intelligence that allows it to self-repair and draw power from any electricity source. A sequence of unexpected events leads to the cyborg’s head landing in the apartment of a talented sculptress, given as an unusual Christmas gift by her boyfriend. Once Mark 13 finds itself in this new environment, it ingeniously reconstructs its body using everyday household items and embarks on a terrifying killing spree.
