Hartenstraat

Set against the charming backdrop of Amsterdam’s Nine Streets district, “Hartenstraat” explores the intricacies of love in what feels like a quaint village within a bustling city. While many are on a quest for romance, such as the flirtatious Bas, the elderly pair Bep and Aart, and couple Rein and Jacob, Daan stands apart, content in his life with his daughter Saar and his catering business on Hartenstraat. Enter Katje, a stylish fashion designer, who sets up her boutique next to Daan. When her catering falls through on the eve of her shop’s grand opening, she turns to Daan for assistance. This situation spells potential conflict, as their personalities clash. Yet, amid the disputes, Katje begins to notice Daan in a new light, especially as her current relationship with Thomas faces challenges. “Hartenstraat (2014)” can be streamed now for free.
