Home for the Weekend

Prompted by his mother Gitte, Marko sets off from Berlin to the countryside to visit his parents. He anticipates a peaceful family reunion, but the atmosphere shifts dramatically when Gitte announces her recovery from a prolonged mental illness. While the rest of the family struggles to adapt, Marko stands alone in honoring her desire to be regarded as a fully active family member. This change in dynamics causes more disruption than he anticipated in his parents’ fragile relationship. Three words: Watch it now.
